What You Need to Know
All first year Scouts should attend every Troop meeting possible. At the
meetings, the Troop Guides will be working with the first year Scouts to
complete rank-advancement requirements and complete other necessary
certifications that Scouts need. Scouts need to bring their Boy Scout Handbook
and other supplies that the Troop Guides need brought. Some requirements
cannot be completed at the meetings, and will be worked on during Troop
Campouts. If you miss any meetings or any campouts, be sure to check with
your Troop Guides to see what requirements you missed and will need to
make up. Also, many requirements are worked on at summer camp.
Please read more about it below.
The Voyageur Program is a great opportunity for First Year Scouts to complete many requirements as well as work on a few merit badges. Many Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, and 1st Class requirements are worked on and signed off by the counselor. The program also incorporates the Swimming and Woodcarving Merit Badges. To view the Voyageur Program lesson plans, please click on the link provided.

Scouts need to report to the Voyageur Program area at 9:15 every morning and 2:00 every afternoon. Here are the program areas:

          Camp Gamble: Moreno Campsite
          Camp Sakima:  Valle Campsite
          Camp Famous
                       Eagle:  Smith Campsite

Once again, this program offers a great opportunity to complete many requirements and begin working on merit badges. Do not pass it up at summer camp!
